This album contains music of the first Pis Yabanci line up, founded in Istanbul around early 2006. This line up dissolved in September 2007 but the band continued with other members until 2012. It rehearsed in the basement – believed to have been a mortuary – of a French high school (Lycée Sainte Pulchérie). It played gigs in bars and in small concert halls around Beyoglu and Kadikoy areas.

The songs were recorded in different places, under highly different circumstances – at studios, homes, concert and rehearsal places. So the quality ranges from low-fi to average studio sound. Some of them have already been released unofficially. First a demo, then an album emerged in very limited numbers and was distributed to friends – the cds are probably languishing in dusty cupboards or converted into bird scarers. Half of the songs in this album are unreleased material. They have all been meticulously edited, then remastered.

(Almost) All the music is written, played and recorded by Pis Yabanci. Samples or ideas from other music might be heard. We didn’t care about copyright at the time, so we kept ‘em in the album. In exchange, our music can be modified and used except in any kind of commercial context.

This album is dedicated to filth of people who discriminate or hurt other people out of religion, politics, racism, sexism or simply personal frustration. Fuck deeply each and everyone of you.
